SIPREC

What is SIPREC? (SIP Recording)

The Session Recording Protocol is used for establishing an active recording session and reporting of the metadata of the communication session.

Session Recording Server or SRS (RECITE), is a SIP User Agent (UA) that acts as the sync for recorded media.

Session Recording Client or SRC, is a SIP User Agent (UA) that acts as the source of the recorded metadata & media, sending it to RECITE. The Session Recording Client could be a personal device (such as a SIP phone), a SIP Media Gateway (MG), a Session Border Controller (SBC), Media Server, or an Application Server.

RECITE’s session based recording solution for SIPRec provides customers with a very convenient but powerful recoding methodology based on the SIPRec open standard. RECITE’s vast CTI integrations with virtually every telephony platform including but not limited to Microsoft Skype for Business, Cisco, Avaya, Alcatel, Mitel, NEC, etc… allow RECITE to provide a richer integration combining trunk and station side agent information to the call meta data record.
